    For your information, application for Stranded Expatriate (MCO) can submit through CIMS CIDB Expatriate Module, Construction Personnel on 20 July 2020. Please refer to user manual.
  • For General Information (participants / contractors):New !
    For information, commencing 1st January 2020 Kursus Integriti dan Kod Etika Kontraktor will be conducted entirely through the CIDB E-Learning System while the Kursus Pengurusan Bisnes will be conducted online or physically by the Pusat Latihan Bertauliah Kontraktor (PLBK) CIDB.

    For those who are interested in registering courses through the e-learning system, please visit cims.cidb.gov.my and select E-Learning settings for register e-learning Kursus Integriti dan Kod Etika kontraktor or Kursus Pengurusan Bisnes. Please use the INDIVIDUAL ID for the registration of the E-Learning Course and enter the contractor registration number for the participant who wishes to register in the E-Learning Kursus Integriti dan Kod Etika kontraktor or Kursus Pengurusan Bisnes.

    For those interested in signing up for a Kursus Pengurusan Bisnes physically, you can contact the CIDB Pusat Latihan Bertauliah Kontraktor (PLBK) for information on the course or refer to the Kursus CCD Schedule on the CIDB website at www.cidb.gov.my .
  • For State and Branch CIDB OfficersNew !
    For information, commencing 1st January 2020 Kursus Integriti dan Kod Etika Kontraktor will be conducted entirely through the CIDB E-Learning System while the Kursus Pengurusan Bisnes will be conducted online or physically by the Pusat Latihan Bertauliah Kontraktor (PLBK) CIDB.

    However, CIDB State and Branch may conduct Kursus Integriti dan Kod Etika physically if there is high demand from contractors and approval is needed from the Bahagian Pembangunan Kontraktor CIDB. CIDB State and Branch must submit a letter of application to the Bahagian Pembangunan Kontraktor CIDB for the verification and budget virement process for the implementation of the course physically.

    Temporary access will be given to CIDB State and Branch officials who have been approved to carry out the course physically until the end of the course.

  • INFORMATION TO TRAINING CENTER PROVIDER (PLB) FOR SICW PROGRAMME New !

    According to the SICW Course Implementation Requirements, the maximum qualifying age of trainers is 65 years old, effective from on 1 February 2017. The training provider above the age limit who is still interested and wishes to continue their contribution can appeal with the below documents and comply with the following conditions: -
              i) Not less than 70 years old at the date of application
              ii) Have a good physical and mental health level by attaching a health certificate from recognized clinic / hospital
              iii) A copy of the Health Screening Form used for renewal application for the appointment as a Security and Health Officer (SHO) at the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
              iv) Should attend CIDB interview sessions for physical level assessment and delivery (if required)
    Additional Information

              *The commissioning period will be given 1 year for each application.
              *Monitoring will be conducted on the training provider to ensure the smooth running of the course and if it is not satisfied that the commissioning will be withdrawn.
  • APPLICATION OF ONLINE INSURANCE CLAIM THROUGH THE CIMS SYSTEM WILL BE EXECUTED ON 15 AUGUST 2018 New !

    Effectively from August 15th, 2018, Application of Insurance Claim Benefits Group for CIDB Construction Personnel can be applied online (subject to terms & conditions) through CIMS system integrated with (Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad & Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad). Construction personnel (local only) who are still actively registered can also review / update the beneficiary information through this system.Please refer to the User Manual of Insurance Claim Benefits Group for CIDB Construction Personnel (Applicant).

    Process Registration Contractor, Project Declaration, Levy and SCORE via new                CIDB-CIMS new online system   More...
  • The validity for SCORE certificates will be extended to 2 years.
  • All submission for SCORE & MCORE shall received 15 CCD points.
  • CIDB is moving forward by adding payment channel for user conveniences. Now, there is ONLINE PAYMENT by PFX and credit card.
  • MCORE shall be introduced to low –grade contractor (G1) with the evaluation based on 4 criteria: Financial capability, Technical                capability, Business Operation, and Business                management.
  • CIDB is improving the efficiency for the Contractor Registration Card. Soon, application can be done 24 x 7 at your own convenience.
  • CIDB is engaged in a systematic process to improve and increase the contractor registration application to be more systematic, user-friendly                and higher integrity.
  • All contractors are obliged to declare all their construction projects to CIDB via online. Compounds actions can be taken upon                contractors who fail to declare their projects.

Rules

  • Registration of contractors
    25 (1) "No person shall carry out or complete, undertake to carry out or complete any construction work or hold himself out as a contractor, unless he is registered with the Lembaga and holds a valid certificate of registration issued by the Lembaga under this Act."

                  Section 25 (1). (Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan Malaysia Act 1994 (Act 520))
  • Registration of construction personnel
    33 (1) "A person shall not be involved or engaged or undertake to be involved or engaged as a construction personnel unless he is registered with the Lembaga and holds a valid certificate of registration issued by the Lembaga under this Act."

                  Section 33 (1). (Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan Malaysia Act 1994 (Act 520))
  • Imposition of levy
    34 (1) "Every contractor shall declare and submit to the Lembaga, in the manner as may be prescribed by the Lembaga, any contract which he has been awarded on any construction works."
                  (2) "For every contract referred to in subsection (1), whether stamped or not, having a contract sum of above five hundred thousand ringgit, the contractor shall be liable to pay to                    the Lembaga a levy at the rate of a quarter per centum of the contract sum."

                  Section 34 (1) & (2). (Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan Malaysia Act 1994 (Act 520))
  • Interpretation

    "construction works" means the construction, extension, installation, repair, maintenance, renewal, removal, renovation, alteration, dismantling, or demolition of—

             (a) any building, erection, edifice, structure, wall, fence or chimney, whether constructed wholly or partly above or below ground level;

                             (b) any road, harbour works, railway, cableway, canal or aerodrome;

                             (c) any drainage, irrigation or river control works;

                             (d) any electrical, mechanical, water, gas, petrochemical or telecommunication works; or

                             (e) any bridge, viaduct, dam, reservoir, earthworks, pipeline, sewer, aqueduct, culvert, drive, shaft, tunnel or reclamation works,


                        and includes --


                        (A) any works which form an important and integral part of or are preparatory to or temporary for the works described in paragraphs (a) to (e), including site clearance, soil                                  investigation and improvement, earth-moving, excavation, laying of foundation, site restoration and landscaping; or

                        (B) procurement of construction materials, equipment or workers, necessarily required for any work described in paragraphs (a) to (e);
